The Sahana Software Foundation is pleased to announce that six student developers will join our community for the summer thanks to Google’s Summer of Code Program (GSoC).* We would like to thank Google for their continued support of the Sahana Software Foundation and free and open source software through this program. While we would like to congratulate these students, we also want to acknowledge all of the great students who applied to this program that could not be accepted into this program and invite them to continue to work with Sahana.
Our student participants for 2011 include:
- Anubhav Aggarwal, Eden, Web Setup
- Chinthaka, Agasti, Vesuvius Installation
- Fabio Albuquerque, Agasti, RESTful Web Services
- Pratyush, Eden,Save Search and Subscription
- Ramindu Deshapriya, Agasti, Pootle Re-integration
- Shiv Deepak, Eden, Eden OCR
Many thanks to Darlene McCullough and Michael Howden who are acting as the GSoC leads for the Agasti and Eden projects and to David Bitner who is the Sahana GSoC administrator for all of their help and to the many mentors who will be working with these students over the course of the summer.
We look forward to working with these students (and all students who wish to be a part of the Sahana community) in the coming months! If you’re interested in getting involved with Sahana’s Google Summer of Code, then visit our community page!
